JODI BORTZ MUSIC STUDIO:  This site is for my home studio where I teach flute lessons and piano lessons.  If you are looking for a private music teacher, click through to find out more about what I offer.  I also perform for events such as weddings or receptions, as a soloist, or as part of Allegro Flutes.

LESSONSPARK.COM:  As a teacher, I found myself wishing I had a tool that would help me recruit students, manage my schedule, and my students, and would improve the overall student-teacher relationship.  It didn't exist, so I created it, and the result is LessonSpark.com.  It is a comprehensive studio management tool for teachers and a study and practice tool for students.  I'm finally able to interact with my students in a way that they seem to respond to well, and their practice habits and overall performance have improved.  Parents love the increased interaction through the site.  As a Suzuki Flute teacher, I find I am able to be a better resource to the parent-coaches of my young students in between lessons.  Give it a try!

LESSONSPARK BLOG:  In conjunction with my new site, I have also started a blog discussing all issues of music teaching and study, in the context of a generation of kids that are completely technology driven.  From how to market yourself, or find a teacher, to using technology to improve lessons, I will be covering it all.  Get to know me and my teaching practices and philosophy.  Comments are welcome!

LEHIGH VALLEY FLUTE CAMP:  I am a co-founder of the camp along with Robin Kani.  The Lehigh Valley Flute Camp is a summer day camp for elementary, middle school and high school aged flutists in the area.  Coming to flute camp is a great way to keep up your flute skills over the summer and meet new flute friends.  We also offer a Piccolo Workshop which is a one day event for those students switching from flute to piccolo for high school, or anyone that needs to get their "picc muscles" back in shape for the fall.  This year we are offering to bring our Piccolo Workshop to your school or group.
